Say Yes - Mean No
180 × 160 cm
Say Yes - Mean No explores the space between what is said and what is actually meant. Fragments of writing, symbols, gestures and unfinished forms spread across the canvas like traces of thoughts that were never fully expressed.
The composition shifts between density and emptiness. Areas of intense activity sit beside large, quiet passages, while soft pinks, greens, blues and yellows interrupt the raw lines and spontaneous marks. Words dissolve into gestures, forms overlap and individual elements seem to contradict one another.
The work reflects the ambiguity of communication and the tension between expression and intention. It is about the moments when language becomes unreliable, when agreement carries doubt, and when a yes can ultimately mean no.
