The title translates as “the moon had the night off”. It names the kind of night everyone remembers: no one keeping watch, no plan, no clock. Hours that vanish and leave behind a feeling rather than a story.
Deep ultramarine fills the canvas entirely. Streaks of light blue and cyan drop from the top like rain or reflected street light. Lower down, hot pink and red rise against bands of black, with a single accent of acid green. Every movement is vertical, nothing comes to rest. At 180 cm in height, the blue stops being a colour and becomes a space to stand in, at night as much as by day.
