Larger paintings on canvas are generally professionally removed from their wooden stretcher frame and shipped rolled in a protective tube.
The canvas is removed and prepared by experienced professional art handlers. Rolled shipping is a safe and efficient method for transporting large original paintings internationally.
Works that cannot be rolled due to their material, surface or construction require individual shipping arrangements and may be shipped in specialist packaging or a custom crate.
Within Germany, paintings can usually be shipped stretched and ready to hang.

Once payment has been received, the studio immediately coordinates the professional preparation and shipment of the artwork. International shipments may also be affected by the carrier, customs procedures and local import regulations.

Works requiring a custom crate, specialist art transport or other individual shipping arrangements may incur additional costs. Any additional shipping costs will always be communicated before purchase.

If an artwork arrives with visible transport damage, please contact the studio immediately and retain the artwork together with all original packaging so that the shipment can be documented and the matter resolved with the carrier.

Yes. A rolled canvas can be professionally stretched onto a new wooden stretcher frame by a local framer.
This is a standard method for transporting large paintings internationally and allows the artwork to travel safely and efficiently. When handled professionally, the process does not affect the artwork.
