Lottery of Life explores the role of chance in shaping our lives. Where we are born, the circumstances we grow up in and the opportunities we encounter are often determined long before we have a choice. The painting reflects on how differently life can unfold, shaped by circumstances beyond our control.
A vibrant pink background is interrupted by spontaneous gestures, fragmented writing and contrasting colours. Layers of acrylic, oil, charcoal and chalk overlap, disappear and reappear, creating a balance between intention and accident. The composition reflects the unpredictable nature of life, where chance and personal choices constantly intersect.
